Joined the company in April 2024: Hanzawa Kisaki
What motivated you to join our company?
I wanted to challenge myself in the world of IT.
I wanted to work in a field related to electronic devices, machinery, and IT. Although I had no prior experience, I felt a strong desire to try and challenge myself, which led me to join the company.
During my visit, I was impressed by the company’s atmosphere and felt that even as a beginner, I could grow here. My family also encouraged me by saying, “Go for it.”
I also visited glass factories and cleaning factories. Initially, I considered jobs that involved physical labor, but I couldn’t let go of my desire to take on a role related to IT and machinery, so I decided to join CDR Eco-Movement.
After joining the company, have there been any differences from your initial expectations?
I find it exciting to encounter new and unknown things.
I thought I would be dealing only with computers and smartphones. However, I was surprised to find out that data erasure is also necessary for unfamiliar devices such as cash register terminals and large commercial copy machines.
There are even devices that I didn’t realize contained data, making me wonder, “How do you erase data from this?” Although I had some anxiety about whether I could manage, everyone has been very patient and thorough in teaching me from the basics, which has helped me grow. Whenever my senior colleagues didn’t know something, they would research it and then explain it to me, inspiring me to develop the ability to solve problems on my own.
Encountering so many new and unknown things is more intriguing than feeling a “gap” from my expectations.
Can you tell us about your current duties in your assigned department?
I am responsible for tasks such as checking SIM locks, cleaning, and visual inspections.
I am responsible for data erasure and cleaning of smartphones.
I often struggle with checking for “SIM locks,” cleaning, and conducting visual inspections. Assessing the severity of scratches during visual inspections is particularly challenging. To help me practice, my senior colleagues prepared photos of devices with various scratches. We’ve turned this into a quiz format, and through this, I’ve realized that my standards have become stricter over time.
I was pleased when I was praised for noticing a subtle defect during a display inspection that is easy to overlook.
What are your future dreams and goals?
I want to acquire a variety of skills beyond just the tasks I am currently responsible for.
In the long run, I want to become someone who is considered reliable, someone people feel assured asking for help. To achieve this, I intend to learn various tasks beyond my current responsibilities to expand my capabilities.
The senior colleague in my team is exactly the kind of person who instills confidence in others. I strive daily to become like them.
